Within the IFMIF-DONES project framework planned with a wide-range international research collaboration, experts of C3D Ltd. prepared the flow and thermodynamic model of the test chambers interior.

The construction of a very high energy neutron source is an essential condition for material-technology researches related to the future’s fusion power plants (e.g. DEMO). With the help of the simulation model, it was possible to study the test chamber’s flow conditions and the resulting heat transport, the results of which were later used for the thermal-strength studies of surrounding components.
